Product Description

Miloxime is a specific drug for the prevention and treatment of ectoparasites in dogs and cats.

Effective control of internal parasites such as hookworm, roundworm, whipworm, ascaris, and ectoparasites such as cysticercosis, scabies, lice and flea.

Mechanism of action

The main neurotransmitter of invertebrates (e. g. ectozoans) is GABA (gam-aminobutyric acid).

When milberoxime enters the parasite, it will strengthen the binding force of GABA and keep chloride ions entering the cell membrane.

The membrane potential can be continuously overpolarized and nerve conduction can be interrupted, resulting in paralysis and death of the parasite.

In mammals, only a small amount of GABA exists in the central nervous system, but because milberoxime cannot cross the blood-brain barrier,

Therefore, there is no adverse effect on nerve conduction in mammals, not even in sheepdogs, which are generally considered to have high BBB permeability. Therefore, this drug is more safe than ivermectin and avermectin (http://www.chemdrug.com/), and will not cause adverse reactions in dogs such as sheepdog and shetty.
