Shermoraline is a synthetic polypeptide that differs from GHRH in that it prompts the pituitary gland to release growth hormone. The results showed that shemmerelin could antagonize the immunosuppressive effect of immunosuppressant cyclophosphamide on mice. Macrophages play an important role in specific and nonspecific cellular immune function and immune regulation in the immune system of the body. The weight of thymus gland and spleen of immune organs in mice with low immune function could be increased significantly, and the phagocytic function of mononuclear phagocytes could be improved, suggesting that the nonspecific immune function of mice could be enhanced. Cyclophosphamide can inhibit the proliferation capacity of T lymphocytes, and shemmerelin can significantly combat the toxic effect of CY on lymphocytes, thus restoring the proliferation capacity of T lymphocytes.
